The Ghost that stretched and stretched and stretched...

this is a story my friend told me back in 2nd grade. with some different stuff. :P

Once upon a time, there were two girls. Tiffany and Veronica. They had been best friends since kindergarten. But during winter break, they hadn't kept in contact much so Veronica invited Tiffany to a cabin in the woods for a sleepover during the last week of the break.

Tiffany's parent's plan was to go with her but after an hour of pleading, they finally let her go by herself. So she packed everything up and drove off into the woods. (She turned 16 1 month ago. Veronica turned 16 3 months ago.)

Veronica was already there. She had been waiting for her for half an hour in the snow. They hugged each other and squealed and talked and did a whole ton of other fun stuff. Tiffany thought that Veronica looked a little pale and was a little cold but let the thought go when she considered how long Veronica had been waiting for her. Before they knew it, it was already 11 o' clock, bedtime. Tiffany was very tired from the long drive anyway.

The cabin was very small but cozy. It only had two rooms. In on room, there were two beds on one end and a small table with a lamp on it on the other end next to the door. The other room was a bathroom. They had planned to eat out everyday.

The two girls put on their pajamas and climbed into bed. Veronica's movements were very jerky for some weird reason. Tiffany hoped she didn't catch a cold. Then she noticed that the lamp was still on. She got up and started walking towards the lamp. But then she ran out screaming when she saw Veronica's arm stretch over and close the lamp for her.

Tiffany zoomed back home in her car and told her parents what happened. Unfortunately, they didn't believe her. A few hours later, Tiffany called Veronica's parents and told them what happened.

Here was their reply: "Don't you know that Veronica died in a car accident last week?"
